Classes Taught at Studio:
Who are my students and what do they love about how I teach?
I typically teach women in the 35-70 age group. I know that is a wide range, but it shows in their belief in my teaching to be accessible, diversified, and supportive to their needs. It also shows that in our community, we are all not one way in our physical bodies, our beliefs, or our experience level. We can all come together, grow, gain strength and personal knowledge of who we are, while enjoying the community experience of group yoga classes. All are welcome.
In my classes you will find a blend of structural & alignment based cueing to build strength, body awareness, & knowledge of how to move effectively, with a lot of spiritual insight that I have gathered over the years and turned into storytelling. I love to weave in powerful quotations, affirmation suggestions, stories based in mythology to align with our present day living, and most of all seasonal alignment with our wheel of the year.
Students can expect to be offered the use of props to support and grow their practices from my background in Iyengar Yoga. I will always give correctional assists through cueing to keep you safe.
When I teach, I mostly try to connect to what my students need, through their mood, the mood of the season or what's happening in the world. It is all about the students and what they need, not what I need. I do this through music, offering visualizations, and offering a different theme each class.
I love my cozy studio, the classes are small, and you can expect to feel supported, accepted, nurtured and seen, as I offer you my 20+ years of teaching experience.

Who are my students and what do they love about how I teach?
I believe yoga should be accessible and supportive, and meet people where they are. Students leave feeling more grounded, relaxed, and balanced, carrying that sense of calm into their daily lives.
In my classes you will find comfort for all levels, including beginners, those returning to movement, or anyone seeking a mindful, low-impact practice that nourishes both body and mind. Students can expect a slow, mindful pace in a welcoming and supportive environment. Props and modifications are encouraged to make each posture accessible for every body, and no prior yoga experience is needed—just a willingness to listen to your body and move with awareness.
When I teach, I create a supportive space where students can slow down, reconnect with their breath, and regulate their nervous system through mindful movement and breath awareness. In class, I like to draw students into the present moment by connecting breath with movement, helping them step out of their busy minds and into their bodies.
Inspired by my background in marine science, I often weave in the wisdom and rhythms of the ocean as a reminder to move with resilience, adaptability, and ease.
Wild Nurturer is a welcoming, cozy, and supportive space where I feel most like myself and deeply connected to my body, mind, and spirit. It feels like a place where I can fully relax, reset, and ground myself no matter what is happening in my life. The owner, Jennifer, has created something truly special, and her wisdom, compassion, and depth of knowledge are woven into every class and every interaction, inspiring both teachers and students alike.

In my classes you will find a welcoming, inclusive space where people of all backgrounds and abilities can experience the physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits of yoga. Restorative yoga nourishes the body with passive stretching while enhancing functional mobility. It also allows for the bodies nervous system to take a break, moving it from a state of fight or flight to a state of rest and digest.
When I teach my classes I like to offer inspirational readings to assist my students with life's challenges through a trauma informed lens. While providing a space that is inviting and nourishing for one's body, mind and spirit.
I am deeply grateful to owner Jennifer and Wild Nurturer. Jen has walked alongside me through some of life's greatest joys and its most difficult challenges. Her knowledge, compassion, and dedication to the practice of yoga has helped me grow not only as a teacher, but as a person. The education and mentorship I have received has prepared me to serve others with confidence, empathy, and authenticity.

Who are my students and what do they love about how I teach?
I teach a diverse range of ages, women & men, because of this I like to tailor my class to those in attendance, matching the energy of what to group needs to guide our practice together.
In my classes you will find a slow paced class with minimal movement. Stretches are held for several minutes and rarely get up of the ground. There are many options provided to explore different asanas in your body.
My class dives deep into meditation with the Yoga Nidra practice. Students leave feeling rejuvenated, balanced and clear headed. The deep stretch practice provides a full body tension release for improved flexibility and mobility.
When I teach, I am drawn to the seasons and the astrology to help guide the practice to what may be happening in your life off the mat. I find the biggest benefit of my deep stretch class to be from taking the time to slow down. The calm and peace that is created in the quiet moments of a meditation practice gives the mind and body the space to heal.
I love teaching classes at the Wild Nurturer because of the intimate and inviting studio space, and the ability to offer attention to each student.

Who are my students and what do they love about how I teach?
Students of all abilities can expect to be gently guided through safe yoga poses using a chair, as well as yoga props to assist, as needed. Various modifications of the poses will also be offered, enabling accessibility to all levels.
In my classes you will find guidance on how to move and align your body with the help of a chair, while also focusing on breath work, an essential part of the yoga experience. The intention of the yoga poses and breath work is to enhance our strength, balance, and mobility, keeping our joints mobile, improving stamina, and empowering students of all abilities. By shifting our mental focus inward and connecting with the heart, we can let go of stress and tension.
When I teach, I like to inform the why’s and benefits as we go along. The use of music, mudras, inspirational readings, and healing energy during Savasana, is something I enjoy, and is integral in my classes. By offering these, my hope is that it will create a meaningful experience that my students will take with them.
I love teaching classes at the Wild Nurturer because of its welcoming, friendly, and nurturing environment. Though classes are taught with intention, they are fun and there is always a lightness/humor involved. It always feels like a safe space to practice, and just feels like a second home to me. You can be yourself, no judgment here! I also enjoy the smaller class sizes, rather than a large studio - it’s more intimate.
